I am currently a Research Associate at the Centre for IT and Public Policy at IIIT-B, working on an IDRC funded and SiRC administered project on understanding the implications of Open Information Systems from the points of view of those who access these systems.
I am also pursuing my Master of Science (by Research) program at IIIT-B, studying how the processes of data collection and cataloguing shape model design in transportation modelling. As part of my responsibilities as a research scholar at IIIT-B, I have assisted Prof. Bidisha Chaudhuri in teaching a course on Technology and Society.
Earlier, I was a Researcher at Fields of View from its inception in February 2012 as one of its founders, until June 2016. My work was in using tools such as gaming simulations and computer-based simulations to study and enhance learning, decision making, and participatory processes in the area of Urban Systems.
From July 2012 to December 2013, I worked as a Research Associate at the Next Generation Infrastructure Laboratory at the Centre for Study of Science, Technology and Policy. My work was in the areas of Urban Poverty where I worked on a survey of the urban poor in slums, and in designing gaming and computer-based simulations in the field of Emergency Management Systems.
